This stone cottage, located near Arrowtown is believed to have been constructed in c.1887-1890’s. It is a simple, small, building of stacked/rubble Schist with a gabled roof clad with corrugated iron.
The client had great vision for this project, and was very hands on. This ensured that the cottage was tastefully restored and sympathetic to it's heritage.
This project was to restore the Cottage so that it can be used as a studio. It included limewash to the stonework, a new stained glass window with floral details as well as guttering and water collecting wine barrels.
